FLAGs are community-led, regional support networks funded by the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund (EMFF). Key focuses of FLAGs under EMFF is supporting fishing communities to adapt to the reformed Common Fisheries Policy (CFP) and supporting sustainable economic growth – which in some cases includes aquaculture and seaweed farming.
